Oil for food scam: Justice Pathak submits report to PM

Justice R S Pathak on Thursday submitted to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh his report on allegations against Congress and former External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh in the Volcker report on oil-for-food scam.

NEW DELHI: Justice R S Pathak on Thursday submitted to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh his report on allegations against Congress and former External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh in the Volcker report on Oil-for-Food scam.
"I have submitted the report to the Prime Minister," Justice Pathak told the agency.
"I was entrusted with this responsibility and I treated it as a matter of national service," he said.
The former Chief Justice of India was in November last year entrusted with the task after the allegations against Congress and Natwar Singh of being non-contractual beneficiaries of the oil-for-food scam created a political storm in the country.
Justice Pathak said "I have submitted it to the Prime Minister and it is for the Government to present in Parliament or make it public.
