OBC quota row: Patels threaten to stop milk, veggie supplies
Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) convener Hardik Patel on Thursday threatened to disrupt milk and vegetable supplies from Friday if policemen involved in firing and attacks on Patels were not suspended. The move would have a huge impact not just in Gujarat but in north Indian states as well where major dairy cooperatives of the state supply milk, reports TNN.

"We will disrupt supplies of milk and vegetables. We had earlier warned the state government to take action against police officials involved in beating up Patels, including women and children at GMDC ground. Since the state has failed to take action against the officials, we will now step up the protest," said Hardik in a statement. He underlined the fact that Patels control the dairy cooperatives across Gujarat. Hardik demanded an exgratia of Rs 35 lakh each for the families of those killed in the violence
