Obama closely monitoring Mumbai terror strikes

CHICAGO: US President-elect Barack Obama is closely monitoring the terror strikes in Mumbai which he strongly condemns, according to his transition team.

Obama has spoken to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice about the situation.

President George W Bush has also been briefed by the national security officials on the situation in Mumbai about which the US is deeply concerned.
