NEW DELHI: It was number 13 which proved unlucky for the Delhiites as near-simultaneous blasts rocked the national capital leaving at least 18 dead.

This is the second blast this year that has taken place on 13th day of a month. The earlier one took place on May 13 in Jaipur.

The survivors on the other hand may find themselves lucky going by the adage "13 -- unlucky for many and lucky for few".

The serial explosions at three places in the city today killed at least 18 people and left 70 others injured while the Jaipur explosions had claimed 68 lives and left more than 200 wounded.
