Nuclear Safety Bill to be introduced in winter session: V Narayanasamy
Govt expects to introduce Nuclear Safety And Regulatory Authority Bill in winter session, minister of state at PMO V Narayanasamy said.

India targets a nuclear power capacity of 10,080 mw by 2017 and said safety of the country is the government's foremost concern.
Nuclear Power Corp of India (NPCIL), the only company permitted to produce nuclear energy in the country, targets to set up six new units of nuclear power generators at Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan in the next five years, its director technical SA Bhardwaj said.
The company is in talks to rope in joint venture partners for its proposed units in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, Bhardwaj said.
Currently, 20 nuclear reactors in India generate about 4,780-mw power.
