Nuclear blackmail won’t be tolerated, says BJP
NEW DELHI: Under pressure to act in the wake of the Uri terror attack, BJP slammed Pakistan saying a “nuclear blackmail” will not be tolerated and asserted that appropriate action will be taken by the Narendra Modi government against perpetrators of such assaults.

BJP has faced widespread criticism on social media and in civil society for failing to prevent and counter attacks like the ones at Pathankot and now in Uri.

Patience is running thin within the rank and file of the party but the brass has asked its leaders not to express their ire against the government, sources said. While the government has already initiated diplomatic pressure on Pakistan, some concrete action will be taken after the UN General Assembly meeting underway in New York is over.

BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav hit out at Pakistan while underlining that it is time to take action. “Government has initiated certain actions at the diplomatic level to expose Pakistan. India will respond in an appropriate manner at an appropriate time. Nobody wants to make war but nobody will succumb to nuclear blackmail,” Madhav said.
