NSF to support any Naga group in finding Naga solution

KOHIMA: The Naga Students' Federation expressing serious concern over the prolonged Naga political crisis today extended full cooperation to any Naga political group engaging in dialogue with the Centre for a permanent solution to the vexed problem.

Naga groups the NSCN(IM), NSCN(K) and NSCK (KK) have entered into a ceasefire with the Centre, but the NSCN(IM) is the only organisation which has entered into an indefinite ceasefire and initiated a dialogue to find a solution to the decades-old crisis.

Talking to PTI, outgoing president of NSF Kelhouneizo Yhome said his organisation had given full support and cooperation to the dialogue process.

Yhome expressed strong resentment over the continued atrocities on the Naga people in the mainland and demanded equal treatment and protection for the Nagas.

Yhome has been succeeded by his assistant general secretary Tongpang Ozukum to lead the federation for the next three-year tenure.
