NSCN treads prayers path for Naga talks

GUWAHATI: NSCN will take to prayers. The outfit has declared one hour chain of prayer from 11 am to 12 noon every day for seeking God's intervention in the Indo-NSCN dialogue for early solution.

The prayer system will begin from August 18 and every cadre living in and around Dimapur and Peren Districts has been mandated to participate.

According to NSCN-IM, this prayer programme is mainly for the long-awaited political solution. "It is time to thank God for his faithfulness in leading and sustaining us till today. It is time now to humble ourselves before him and pray more earnestly than ever before. Even if others have lost hope and given up prayer, it should not be so with you and me," a source said.

The main theme of prayer will include confession of personal sins and national's sins, seeking God's intervention in the Indo-NSCN dialogue for early solution, prayer for God's blessing for the Naga chief negotiator Th Muivah and Indian interlocutor R.N. Ravi, prayer for God's blessing for the prime minister, cabinet ministers, the collective leadership and home authorities of NSCN, besides the Indian government.
