Assam is witnessing a bitter protest in several areas demanding making public the framework agreement inked between the Centre and NSCN-IM.

NSCN meet renews land demand from Assam
A consultative meeting attended by NSCN-IM leaders, village headmen and Naga representatives from the Rengma Naga Hills and Karbi Anglong in Assam underscored the need for getting back land for Nagas once a final solution is arrived at by the Centre and NSCN-IM.

The meeting was held at the NSCN-IM headquarters in Hebron, Nagaland.

Assam is witnessing a bitter protest in several areas demanding making public the framework agreement inked between the Centre and NSCN-IM. The Congress organized a protest in Upper Assam on Saturday. Assam and Nagaland have a boundary dispute and there are several areas upon which both states lay claim.

NSCN leaders further stated that the Framework Agreement is the highway for complete independence of the Nagas.
