NSA Ajit Doval, RSS top brass attend AAP leader Kumar Vishwas's birthday party

NEW DELHI: After finishing his meeting with the visiting UAE delegation on Wednesday evening, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval headed for a party in the heart of Lutyen’s Delhi. Two senior RSS leaders Ram Lal and Om Mathur, who generally keep away from socialising, were already present. The occasion was not any BJP or government event.

It was the birthday party of AAP leader Kumar Vishwas, who had taken on Smriti Irani and Rahul Gandhi in Amethi. The presence of Sangh and BJP leaders, including Ravi Shankar Prasad, Manoj Tiwari, Vijay Goel and Sudhanshu Trivedi, gave rise to speculations that Vishwas was looking at joining the party. However, his aides were quick to dismiss the suggestion, saying all those who had come including Doval were Vishwas’ “old friends”.

In addition to the entire Delhi Cabinet, including deputy CM Manish Sisodia and party MLAs, there were some Congress leaders too. Kamal Nath, Navin Jindal and Rajiv Shukla to name a few. Presence of Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi was a big thing for Vishwas.
