NRHM scam: Former medical officers suspended for their alleged involvement

MUZAFFARNAGAR: The Uttar Pradesh government has suspended the then Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Deputy Chief Medical Officer (DCMO) of Muzaffarnagar for their alleged involvement in the NRHM scam.

The then Chief Medical Officer of Muzaffarnagar, Anand Kumar and Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Muzaffarnagar, Gyanendra Kumar were suspended yesterday, District rpt District Chief Medical Officer Dr Subodh Kumar said today.

Principle Secretary of Health department, Arvind Kumar informed about the suspension, he said.

The step was taken after CBI found the duo allegedly involved in the NRHM scam, he added.

Anand Kumar is currently posted in Aligarh while Gyanendra Kumar in Muzaffarnagar.
