Now you can read PMO website in Gujarati and Tamil soon
Sr govt official told ET that a decision has been taken to make the PMO website multi-lingual and the same will be done in "stages" so as to expand the reach of the message from the highest government office.

A senior government official told ET that a decision has been taken to make the PMO website multi-lingual and the same will be done in "stages" so as to expand the reach of the message from the highest government office. “Right now, the PMO website is only in English and Hindi. We will be offering the PMO website in all major regional languages. PMO website could hence become the first such government website in the world to be offered in so many languages,“ the official said. The PIB website will also be going multi-lingual in similar fashion soon.
This idea of multi-lingual reach seems to be getting extended to PM Modi's Mann Ki baat program too which will no longer be restricted to radio and TV. An exhaustive book on the issues addressed by the PM in all 12 editions of the programme has been prepared by Doordarshan, with special focus on the preparations that went into it, letters and people discussed in every programme.
The project, kept as an hush-hush affair now, is likely to be released by the PM himself on October 2 this year, first in Hindi, and then in English, followed by all other regional languages, government official said.
