LUCKNOW: Speeding up the pace of reforms, Uttar Pradesh is likely to reduce the floor on the land needed for setting up mini-industrial parks, warehouses and logistics hubs. It is weighing changes to the electronics policy and may even offer tax incentives and capital subsidies.

Coming a day after suspension of 38 labour laws, the relaxations in different policies aim at boosting investment, employment and the economic sentiment. “Right now the question is not how many industries will flourish, the question is how many will survive,” UP industries minister Satish Mahana told ET, reacting to criticism for doing away of labour laws. "Both industries and labour unions will have to understand that the priority right now is to save industries for the interest of both sides," Mahana said.
