Notorious criminal gunned down in UP
A notorious criminal allegedly involved in number of murder and loot cases was gunned down in an encounter.

MUZAFFARNAGAR: A notorious criminal allegedly involved in number of murder and loot cases was gunned down in an encounter, police said on Monday.
Police while patrolling on the Barla-Basera road last night spotted some unidentified men blocking the way.
They were challenged and an encounter followed. In the exchange of fire Pratap alias Bhaju was killed, Superintendent of Police Sanjay Singhal said.
Other members of the gang managed to escape, they said, adding that a motorcycle and a revolver were also recovered from the spot.
