Note recall trampled Mulayam birthday party: Mayawati
NEW DELHI: Describing Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh’s Ghazipur rally as a flop show, BSP national president Mayawati said SP’s decision to avoid Mulayam’s birthday celebration (on Tuesday) looks less to do with the train accident, and more to do with demonetisation
. In a press release, she said SP had celebrated “Safai Mahotsava” despite Muzaffarnagar riots showing lack of sensitivity on their part.

She added Mulayam’s rally was a flop show despite all efforts made by the party ticket aspirants to make it a success. She further said people are fed up with SP’s hollow promises and baseless claims about development in the state.

She also criticised the ruling Samajwadi Party government for the incidents in which people who were standing in queue to exchange currency notes outside banks were allegedly lathicharged by the police. She referred to such incidents at different places, including Fatehpur, Meerut, Agra and Baghpat.
