Banerjee refused to admit the motion and the Left Front members rushed to the well of the House shouting slogans.

KOLKATA: Noisy scenes were witnessed in West Bengal Assembly today after Speaker Biman Banerjee refused to admit an adjournment motion moved by CPI(M) member and Leader of the Opposition Surya Kant Mishra on tabling of Shyamal Sen report in the House.

Reading out the motion, Mishra said the Sen panel had submitted its report to the state government and it should be tabled in the House as it involved the interest of thousands of duped investors those who had deposited money with the Saradha ponzi scheme group.

Banerjee refused to admit the motion and the Left Front members rushed to the well of the House shouting slogans.

The Speaker requested the Left MLAs to return to their seats and assured Mishra that the matter would be discussed at the business advisory committee meeting if needed.

He also drew the attention of the parliamentary affairs minister Partha Chatterjee in this regard.
