NEW DELHI: Attacking the Uttar Pradesh Police for the way it investigated the Noida twin murder, Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh today termed it as "state terrorism" to defame the victims.

Singh said there was no evidence to suggest that the character of Arushi, the teenaged victim, was "bad" or her father Rajesh, a dentist who has been arrested for allegedly killing her and family help Hemraj, was having an "extra-marital affair".

"How can police say without evidence that Rajesh was having a relationship with another woman. Does it mean that UP Police intelligence has its eyes in all bedrooms," he told reporters on the sidelines of an international conference on terrorism here.

"The way in which the probe has been conducted is nothing but state terrorism," Singh, a leader of opposition party in UP, added.

Singh alleged that police were coming out with theories everyday like "honour killing" to hide facts.
