No third person present in house at time of Aarushi murder, CBI tells court
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today told the court that there were "gaps in investigation" into the murder of 13-year-old Aarushi Talwar and her family's domestic help, Hemraj.
Meanwhile the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today told the court that there were "gaps in investigation" into the murder of 13-year-old Aarushi Talwar and her family's domestic help, Hemraj.
While Rajesh Talwar is defending his stand on the protest petition, the CBI is challenging the petition filed by Dr Talwar.
The CBI today told the court that Rajesh Talwar is still the prime suspect in the Aarushi Talwar murder case as there was no third person other than the parents in the house at the time.
"There was no third person present in the house at the time of the murders," the agency said in court.
The CBI had filed a closure report claiming that Aarushi's father, Dr Rajesh Talwar was the only suspect in the double murders... in response, the Talwars had filed a protest petition challenging CBI's closure report.
While the CBI is expected to launch a point by point rebuttal on the Talwars' protest petition, the Talwars in turn are likely to argue that the CBI arrived at the conclusion without evidence and that there is no substantial evidence to prove that he murdered his daughter.
