Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday said that the INDIA bloc has not deliberated on a change of leadership as Rahul Gandhi is doing a fine job in opposing the BJP government and making them accountable.

Abdullah said West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee or anybody else taking over the India bloc leadership can be the personal opinion of Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar but nothing has been decided or talked about. He was speaking on the sidelines of Khelo India winter games at the world famous ski resort of Gulmarg in Baramulla of northern Kashmir.

"Mamata Banerjee taking over the leadership of INDIA bloc can be the personal opinion of Mani Shankar Aiyar and he has the right to have an opinion. But any such decision will be taken by the INDIA bloc jointly. As of now, nothing of this sort has been deliberated upon at the INDIA bloc meetings," said Abdullah adding, "where is Rahul Gandhi lacking?"

Abdullah, whose National Conference is part of the INDIA bloc, said Rahul Gandhi has left no stone unturned in opposing the BJP.
