No respite from fog, 125 trains affected

With the dense fog severely reducing the visibility in the Northern region, services of 125 trains got affected here today.

NEW DELHI: With the dense fog severely reducing the visibility in the Northern region, services of 125 trains got affected here today.

While 66 trains are running several hours late, 30 trains were fully cancelled and 10 partially due to foggy weather condition.

Railways rescheduled departure timing of 19 trains, said an official of Northern Railway.

While Rewa Express is running 35 hours late, Seemanchal Express and Magadh Express are behind 20 hours the scheduled arrival time.

Operations of many premier trains including Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains were also severely disrupted.

"Loco pilots are being given instruction to run trains in a limited speed in the foggy weather because we are more concerned about the safety of passengers," the official said.
