No question of rolling back reservations: PM Narendra Modi on Bihar polls
Slamming the opposition parties for spreading ‘rumours’ about the BJP, the PM said that in all the states that the BJP has come to power in all the states with the support of the Dalits, OBC’s and Adivasis.

“There is a dubious campaign being under taken by some people before every election, that is the BJP comes to power it will remove reservations. It happened when the Atal Bihari government first came to power. It happened before the assembly polls in states and it is happening now. In spite of us categorically saying that reservations would not be scrapped, such kind of campaign is being conducted.”said Prime Minister Modi.
Modi made the comments during his rally in Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai after laying the foundation stone of two Metro projects in the city and a Memorial for Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.
Perhaps mindful of the damage the ‘need to revisit reservation’ comment by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat could have on the Bihar electorate, Modi laid huge emphasis of his speech on the contributions done by Babasaheb Ambedkar.
Calling himself one of the downtrodden, Modi said,“ If it wasn’t for Ambedkar, I would not be here today(as the PM). How else would I have got the opportunity (to become the PM). The work we are doing is just repaying the debt of this great man.”
