No question of going back on CAA, says JDU
On NRC, Jha said there was no discussion on the matter as there was no notification on it. “On NPR, Nitish ji has said the party will take a view after January 19.”

A number of BJP leaders were unhappy over the statement and on Tuesday Bihar water resources minister and close aide of Nitish Kumar, Sanjay Jha clarified party’s stand.
“We have voted for CAA in both the house of the parliament and have taken a considered view on its provisions and stand committed,”Jha told ET. “There is no question of going back on this as CAA is for granting citizenship to some people and not depriving of citizenship.”
On a question of NRC, Jha said that there is no discussion as such about NRC and there is no notification of the same. “On NPR, Nitish ji has said they will look into it post January 19 when the state government is organising a human chain in support of their ‘Jal, Jangal, Hariyali’ program for the betterment of the environment.
Nitish had made the remark during a special day-long session of the assembly for approving the 126th Constitution Amendment Bill, passed by the parliament last month, whereby reservation of seats in Lok Sabha and state assemblies for SC/STs which was to expire this year, has been extended by another 10 years.
