No need for K M Mani to resign: M P Veerendrakumar
KOZHIKODE: Socialist Janata (Democratic) leader and former Union Minister M P Veerendrakumar today said there was no need for Kerala Finance Minister K M Mani to resign simply because a case had been registered against him in connection with the bar bribe controversy.

"Registering a case does not mean that Mani is guilty. If all those against whom FIRs are filed are to quit, then there would not be any ministers left at the Centre or in states," Kumar, whose party is a constituent in the ruling UDF, told reporters here.

The Opposition LDF had stepped up demand for Mani's resignation and stalled the proceedings in the Kerala Assembly over the issue today.
