No meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose kin on May 17
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's grandnephew Chandra Bose today clarified that the family did not have any appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on May 17.

It was earlier reported that members of the Bose family would meet Modi to press for the declassification of secret files on Netaji lying with the Central government.
"There was some miscommunication on the issue. We do not have any appointment at the PMO on May 17," Chandra Bose said adding the family was in the process of getting an appointment with the prime minister.
Netaji's niece Chitra Ghosh and another grandnephew Abhijit Ray too said the family had not received any such invitation.
Surya Kumar Bose, Netaji's grandnephew and elder brother of Chandra Bose had met Modi in Berlin last month and sought declassification of all secret files amid a row over reported snooping on the freedom fighter's close relatives.
Union Minister of State for Home Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary had told Lok Sabha on Tuesday that there was no proposal to probe into the spying issue.
