No Maoist fear, so people are celebrating pujas in  Junglemahal: Mamata Banerjee
JHARGRAM (WB): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today claimed people in Junglemahal area of the state celebrated Durga puja and Eid as there was no Maoist fear in the area.

Previously the people in the Junglemahal (West Midnapore, Bankura and Purulia) could not celebrate Durga puja and other festivals because of Maoist fear factor. But after Trinamool government drove the Maoists from the area people are celebrating the pujas and other festivals, Banerjee said while addressing a Bijaya Sammilani at Jhargram stadium in West Midnapore district.

If there is peace then everything will be ok and there will be development, she said.

Earlier, the Chief Minister held a review meeting with the top district officials of West Midnapore, Bankura and Purulia at Jhargram.

In the meeting she reviewed the progress of the different development schemes of the state government in the three districts.

After the meeting Banerjee said the state government was giving a lot of stress on building news roads and widening the old roads and repairing them.
