Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday said there had been no outcry for a change in leadership responding to media queries about speculations of his exit next month.

“The November revolution is a creation of the media. There is no such revolution. There is no clamor regarding leadership change. All of it is media speculation,” he told the media in Hassan. “High Command is currently focused on Bihar election. Let’s see what they will say,” he said, talking on the subject.

Siddaramaiah had, on Monday, said one can rise to the position of CM only with the majority opinion of MLAs, and with their support in a clear message to Congress leaders that he enjoyed full support of the party’s lawmakers. His statement came in response to media queries about a statement by Dy CM DK Shivakumar to a TV channel that the party high command would decide who should become the CM, not the MLAs.

On reports of a Cabinet reshuffle after his government completes 2.5 years next month, the CM on Wednesday said he would do that after Bihar polls were completed and the party leadership became free.
