No clean chit to artist Chintan Upadhyay in Hema murder case

MUMBAI: Artist Chintan Upadhyay, the estranged husband of Hema Upadhyay who was found murdered along with her lawyer Harish Bhambani, has been giving `conflicting answers' during questioning, said a police official on Wednesday. Chintan has been questioned for two days by the police after his estranged wife and lawyer's bodies were discovered last Saturday.

The official said that due to his varying answers, he has not been given a clean chit yet. The police are yet to establish a clear motive for the murders.This is significant as the police are not ready to give much credence to the Rs 5 lakh dispute as the resaon for the crime.
