No changes in Office of Profit bill

Government on Satarday decided to bring the controversial Office of Profit bill in Parliament, returned by the President for reconsideration, next week without any changes.

NEW DELHI: Government on Satarday decided to bring the controversial Office of Profit bill in Parliament, returned by the President for reconsideration, next week without any changes.
Announcing the decision after a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Parliamentary Affairs Minister P R Dasmunsi said the bill will first come before the Rajya Sabha on July 25.
Alongwith the fresh bill, government will also bring a motion in response to President APJ Abdul Kalam's message appealing to Parliament to reconsider.
