Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet said that no minister in the present dispensation will go abroad in order to reduce the risk of being infected with the highly contagious novel coronavirus. His tweet comes after the group of ministers in a late night meeting on Wednesday decided to suspended all tourist visas and e-visas for travellers till April 15.

"Say No to Panic, Say Yes to Precautions. No Minister of the Central Government will travel abroad in the upcoming days. I urge our countrymen to also avoid non-essential travel. We can break the chain of spread and ensure safety of all by avoiding large gatherings," PM Modi tweeted.

Adding further, Modi said that his government remains fully vigilant and have taken several steps to contain the outbreak.
