PATNA: Acting on issues raised by people with the help of social media on platform "Nitish connect", Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today held a high level meeting of Commercial Tax department to redress their problems.

Kumar held meeting with Commercial Tax Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary Finance Ravi Mittal and Principal Secretary Commercial Tax Sujata Chaturvedi to redress issues raised by 164 persons regarding commercial tax, an official statement said here.

It was decided at the review meeting that D-VIII form would not be required upto Rs 2 lakh taxes.

Presently D-VIII was required for a sum of Rs 75,000 in case of manual sales voucher and Rs one lakh in case of computerised sales voucher.

In today's meeting this limit was enhanced to Rs two lakh.

The meeting also decided that henceforth the Commercial tax department could not disable online facility without four weeks notice, unlike the present system when it can be done without any notice, the statement said.
