PATNA: CPI, CPI(M) and Samajwadi Party have pledged support to the 'Bihar bandh' on March 2, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said today, but refused to enter into any "give and take" with BJP.

"I do not believe in any 'give and take' with BJP or any other party on protest programmes against denial of special category status to Bihar as given to Seemandhra," Kumar told reporters here.

He held that the February 28 bandh was a political programme of BJP, and claimed that the shutdown called by him was a non-political one.

BJP had announced that party workers would stop trains in the state on the day in protest against the denial of special category status to Bihar, the Chief Minister said, adding that his agitation would be 'Gandhian'.

He said that he would personally take part in the symbolic beating of utensils for the sound to reach Delhi on the evening of March two.
