PATNA: The JD(U) on Saturday advised the BJP not to criticize CM Nitish Kumar and the Bihar government as its legislators were also part of the same government for seven-and-a-half years.

JD(U) spokesman Shivanand Tiwari said former deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi’s verbal attack on the Nitish government over the Bagaha police firing was regrettable. “You were partner in the government since 2005. You had shared both good and bad days in the government. If you try to put the government in the dock, you also put yourself in the same dock,” he said.

The CM, in a meeting of senior party leaders on Friday, had asked them to repulse the BJP leaders’ attack. Tiwari’s comment on the BJP is being considered as a beginning of this process. The JD(U) leader said Nitish is neither a Rambo nor a Robin Hood like his Gujarat counterpart Narendra Modi and does not believe in creating tamasha, he said.
