NEW DELHI: Launching an all-out attack on Nitish Kumar, RJD chief Lalu Prasad today said that Nitish is an opportunist and has insulted Bihar's mandate.

"I treated him like a younger brother, but Nitish cheated me," Lalu said. Lalu also alleged that Nitish was behind CBI raids on my family.

Terming the whole series of events of Nitish's resignation and oath taking today as a 'fixed match', Lalu said it's a conspiracy of BJP and JD(U).

Attacking Nitish on his earlier anti-communal plank, Lalu said: "Nitish had said he will die but won't join hands with communal forces. But has has now joined BJP to form government because he is greedy of power."

"He betrayed me because he was jealous of popularity of Tejashwi Yadav," Lalu added.

Earlier in the day, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi also hit out at Nitish Kumar for stitching alliance with BJP. Rahul said Congress was aware of Nitish's moves from past three-four months.
