Nitish Kumar congratulates Nawaz Sharif

PATNA: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday congratulated Nawaz Sharif for his victory in the just concluded general elections in Pakistan.

Kumar, who had toured Pakistan last year and spent some time with Sharif during his visit, said "Sharif had shared with me good memories about (Atal Bihari) Vajpayeeji taking a bus trip to Pakistan."

"He (Sharif) said things were moving in the right direction for betterment of relationship between India and Pakistan before Kargil marred it."

Kumar also praised cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf for its remarkable performance.
