Nitish, anti-BJP parties should join hands, says Raghuvansh Prasad Singh

Singh’s call comes amid political positioning in Bihar ahead of next year’s assembly polls. Talking to ET, the former Union minister said signals of “growing tension and distrust” between the ruling allies BJP and JD(U) were clearly evident alongside the “deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar” under the NDA rule in Patna and Delhi.
“First we saw how PM Modi rejected Nitish Kumar’s demand for two cabinet berths and a MoS post for JDU in the second Modi cabinet, prompting Nitish to unilaterally expand his own cabinet by inducting JDU ministers,” said Singh.
“Then came the public statements of senior BJP leaders such as Sanjay Paswan and CP Thakur saying Nitish Kumar should now shift to Delhi,” he said.
