Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey on Tuesday criticised the Congress party, accusing it of favoring certain business groups during its tenure, namely DBT i.e. Dalmia, Birla and Tata.

He further added Bajaj to the list and named it DBBT scheme.

Dubey's comments were made in response to the Opposition's allegations that the current government supports companies led by billionaires Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani.

Dubey stated that the Congress had its own version of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) which, according to him, stood for Dalmia, Birla, and Tata, suggesting that these conglomerates received undue advantages under Congress rule. He argued that the Opposition's claims of favoritism towards Adani and Ambani were unfounded.

Addressing the Lok Sabha, Dubey highlighted the significant contributions of Adani and Ambani to India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). He referred to them as "A1" and "A2," terms used by Opposition leaders to denote the two industrialists.

Dubey also pointed out the apparent contradiction in the behavior of some politicians. He mentioned that many who criticise Adani and Ambani were present at Anant Ambani's wedding but are now vocal in their opposition in the Parliament, where the industrialists cannot defend themselves.
