RANCHI: Nine live bombs, similar to the ones defused in Patna after BJP’s Hunkar rally, were recovered from a lodge in Ranchi after a joint raid by the National Investigation Agency and the local police.

The NIA and police raided the lodge in search of a key suspect in the Patna blasts, Hyder Ali. Police also seized 19 gelatin sticks and two clocks fitted to the bombs, Inspector General of Police (Zonal) M S Bhatia informed news agencies.

Police had earlier claimed that Indian Mujahideen had set up a 'Ranchi module' and had sent a proposal to Jharkhand government urging sanction in setting up an anti-terrorist squad to contain terror acts.
