Nine injured in misfire during R-day celebrations
Nine persons were injured when the gun of an Armed Reserve Force constable went off accidentally during the Republic Day celebrations in Gangadhar Mandal in the district today, police said.

KARIMNAGAR: Nine persons were injured when the gun of an Armed Reserve Force constable went off accidentally during the Republic Day celebrations in Gangadhar Mandal in the district today, police said.
The incident took place after the flag hoisting ceremony at the Mandal Revenue Office, they said.
The constable, Venkat Reddy, was about to take refreshments along with his colleagues after the celebration, when the carbine of his gun accidentally went off, causing pellet injuries to nine villagers, police said.
Of the nine, two were taken to a hospital. However, all the injured were out of danger, police added.
