NIA to question Chief of J&K HC bar association
SRINAGAR: National Investigation Agency has summoned president of Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association ( JKHCBA) Mian Abdul Qayoom in the case related to funding of Hurriyat leaders. Qayoom has been told to be in New Delhi on September 6.

The lawyer is close to senior Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani. “We’ve found his links while probing the funding case. If he fails to appear, we will take the next logical step,” NIA spokesperson Alok Mittal told ET.

“Many have been summoned and they have come to Delhi and gone back more than once. We have collected sufficient evidence.” Lawyers across Kashmir boycotted work in protest against the summons to Qayoom. The boycott will continue on Tuesday.
