NHRC delegation to arrive on a three-day visit in UP
On January 29, the delegation will hold meetings with NGOs and human rights organizations besides senior officials of the state, the release added.

The delegation, comprising NHRC member S C Sinha, Presenting Officer C K Tyagi and Joint Registrar (Law) A K Parashar in addition to other officials is also scheduled to hold meetings with NGOs and human rights groups active in the city.
On January 27-28, the delegation is scheduled to dispose of a total of 52 cases pertaining to atrocities against SC/ST, sexual harassment at workplaces and other atrocities against women, bonded labour, custodial deaths and other instances of human rights abuse reported from the districts of Allahabad, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Banda, Ambedkar Nagar, Faizabad and Sultanpur, according to an NHRC release.

The NHRC delegation's visit is part of a series of "camp sittings" organised by the Commission for "disposal of human right's abuse cases, gaining insights into problems with the help of NGOs and sensitization of government officials about the importance of human rights," the release said.
So far, the Commission has held similar camp sittings in various other districts of UP, besides states like Bihar, Odisha, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh etc., the release said.
