United Way of Baroda (UWB) has decided to donate Rs 20 lakh to the families of 19 soldiers who were killed in the Uri terror attack.
Shivindersingh Chawla, Chairman of United Way of Baroda (UWB), said that its trustees have decided to donate Rs 20 lakh to the families of 19 soldiers who were killed in the Uri terror attack.
"The NGO has been organising 'Garba' during the Navratri festival, in which over 50,000 boys and girls take part. They expressed the desire that something should be done for the families of those killed in the attack and hence, we decided to donate the amount," he said.
Chawla said first information about families will be gathered and later the donation money will be disbursed to them.
