THE DEADLINE ENDS TODAY for ArcelorMittal to find a buyer for the Florange plant in north-eastern France and save jobs of workers there. ArcelorMittal wants to close the furnaces at the site and slash more than 600 jobs, blaming a slump in the steel industry.

03 Monday

THE BOMBAY HIGH COURT will hear Securities and Exchange Board of India’s appeal against Central Information Commission order today in the Reliance Industries insider trading case.

05 Wednesday

SUPREME COURT ASKS CENTRE to revert by today with a definite timeframe if second round of auction for remaining spectrum is scheduled in March.

06 Thursday

APPLE INC.’S REQUEST FOR a permanent ban on U.S. sales of some Samsung Electronics Co. mobile devices will be considered at a Dec. 6 court hearing. Apple is seeking a U.S. sales ban on eight models of Samsung smartphones and a tablet computer after a federal court jury found on Aug. 24 that Samsung infringed six of seven patents at stake at a trial in San Jose, California, and awarded Apple damages of $1.05 billion. Seven of the eight smartphones that Apple seeks to ban are part of Samsung’s Galaxy line.
