Newsclick was creating ‘anarchy’ at China’s behest, says Devendra Fadnavis

MUMBAI: In one of the first reactions to the raids at NewsClick, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the portal was working at the behest of China to create ‘anarchy’ and ‘derail’ India’s progress. “There are powers which want anarchy in the country.

I don’t need to say who these powers are. We have come to know about a web portal (NewsClick)…when its affairs were investigated, it was found that China funded it,” Fadnavis said while addressing party functionaries in Mumbai. Fadnavis said BJP’s real battle was not with the ‘INDI’ alliance but with ‘these powers’ which were funding organisations like NewsClick.
