Governor Tathagata Roy administered the oath of office to the 56-year-old Justice Somadder at the Raj Bhavan.
GUWAHATI: With chief of Justice of Meghalaya High Court, Biswanath Somadder entering Meghalaya crossing interstate border, Meghalaya government will advise home quarantine for him and his family.

“See Meghalaya has protocol whereby any person coming to state interstate has to go for quarantine. I have sought an appointment with the chief justice where we will explain to him about the detailed protocol,” Meghalaya Health Minister AL Hek told ET.

He added, “As chief justice has just arrived I have sought the help of Governor to get through him and discuss these protocols. 14 day home quarantine is one measure in the protocol.”


Governor Tathagata Roy administered the oath of office to the 56-year-old Justice Somadder at the Raj Bhavan.

On Sunday evening Justice Somadder, who earlier served as judge of Allahabad High Court, arrived in Shillong. He travelled by road from Allahabad via Kolkata, roughly traversing 1907 km.
