New Delhi Municipal Council considers Sanjay Dutt as ambassador for Swachh Bharat and Smart City drives
Actor Sanjay Dutt is one of the celebrities New Delhi Municipal Council has approached to select a brand ambassador for its smart city and Swachch Bharat Abhiyan.

Dutt, released from Yerwada Jail on February 25 after completing his term for illegal possession of arms, has reportedly accepted the offer but nothing has been finalised yet, said his talent management agency, CAA KWAN.
On Tuesday, a letter written by the NDMC chairman on February 26—a day after Dutt's release—started circulating on Twitter. "Being a youth icon and a leading personality of our country, NDMC seeks your association in its Swachh Bharat Mission and Smart City initiatives," Naresh Kumar wrote. "Your presence shall have great impact on millions of your fans, including NDMC inhabitants, who will feel motivated and participate in the endeavour."
On Wednesday, Kumar said NDMC had contacted many cricketers, hockey players and other celebrities.
According to a CAA KWAN letter dated February 27, Dutt "is more than delighted." Alok Singh, a manager, said, "We need to check his availability and other factors."
