NEW DELHI: On the heels of heavy rains and hailstorms last week, New Delhi is slated to receive more rainfall by the end of this week, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Other regions around Delhi such as Chandigarh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh will also experience the same.

Last Saturday saw Delhi experience its second-highest single day rain since 1992, with the NCR region experiencing heavy rains and intermittent hailstorm in pockets. The IMD's observatory in Safdarjung observed 101.9 mm of rainfall, the highest such figure in March.

While Delhi experiences hail, Mumbai braces itself for heat

On the other hand, the nation's financial capital has been suffering sweltering heat the entire week, and it relief does not seem likely, per the IMD.
