Nehru Museum director Mahesh Rangarajan presses resignation, accepted
Caught in the midst of a controversy, Mahesh Rangarajan, UPA-appointed Director of Nehru Memorial Museum and Library.

Mahesh Rangarajan is a wellknown researcher and historian. He was appointed as director of the NMML by the UPA government just ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
While Rangarajan is learnt to have tendered his resignation to the NMML executive council on September 9, 2015, citing personal reasons, the council members had prevailed upon him then to stay on. Sharma said Rangarajan had submitted his resignation once again on Wednesday evening and this time NMML chairperson Lokesh Chandra finally accepted it. The ministry was informed of the same on Thursday.
