Need to ensure social security of each person: Thavar Chand Gehlot

JAIPUR: Union Minister Thavar Chand Gehlot today asked BJP workers to go to every home in Rajasthan to promote Centre's social security schemes on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

"On the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the festival of Rakashan Bandhan this year would be a tie of social security to everyone from August 22-31," Gehlot said while addressing a meeting of state party functionaries and heads of frontal organisations including BJP Mahila Morcha.

The festival is falling on August 29.

Party workers should go to every home to make people aware of Modi government's Jan Dhan Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, he said.

Every one in the society should get the benefit of Central sponsored schemes for social security and empowerment, the Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment said.

"I am sure the BJP workers and leaders would reach every home at booth level to ensure implementation of these schemes and create interest in public at large", he underlined.

Speaking on the occasion, state BJP President Ashok Parnami said the party workers were already on this job for the last two years as this task was initiated during Vasundhara Raje's "Swaraj Sankalp Yatra".

Rajasthan Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Arun Chaturvedi said it was the duty of every political worker to work for upliftment and development of people in society.

"For this mission every party worker would do his/her best during the proposed campaign of 'Rakshabandhan Surksha' beginning from August 22," Chaturvedi said.

Later Gehlot also held a meeting with Raje, a CMO spokesman said.
