NDFB commander-in-chief B Bidai behind attack on adivasis: Police
Assam police revealed that self styled commander-in-chief of anti-talk Nationa lDemocratic Front of Boroland’s, B Bidai orchestrated the massacre of Adivasis.

Security forces are planning to use unmanned aerial vehicle to trace Chairman of anti-talk NDFB, Songbijit Ingti Kathar who according to intelligence inputs, is talking shelter in Myanmar. “The attacks did not have the consent of the Songbijit,” IGP of Assam police, S.N Singh said. Bidai, police said, is believed to be talking shelter along the Indo-Bhutan border.
The Centre has declared Assam as disturbed area under Section 3 of the Armed Forces (Special powers) Act, 1958. The government of India in exercise of powers under the Armed forces (special power) Act has also declared areas falling with 20 kms wide belt in the state of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya along their borders with Assam as “Disturbed area”. Meanwhile, a ceasefire militant outfit, NDFB (Progressive), has raised questions on the efficacy of Assam accord. NDFB (progressive) has demanded apology from the then leaders of anti-foreigners movement who were signatories of the Assam Accord, including former CM Prafulla Kumar Mahanta, for accepting March 24, 1971 as cut-off date for detection and deportation of immigrants.
