NDA will push for women's reservation bill: Nupur Sharma
The bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha in 2010 but subsequently lapsed following the dissolution of the 15th Lok Sabha.

She was speaking at a session titled "Role of Female Politicians in Shaping 21st century Politics" at the ongoing Kumaon Literary Festival here.
"Yes, this absolutely will be done. You can take my word on that," she said on the bill which proposes to amend the Constitution to reserve 33 per cent of all seats in the Lok Sabha and legislative assemblies for women.
The bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha in 2010 but subsequently lapsed following the dissolution of the 15th Lok Sabha.
According to Priyanka Chaturvedi from Congress, it is the responsibility of not just political parties but also of the incumbent government and the Opposition to ensure that women are given their due representation in the polity.
Both the women leaders hit out at the traditional roles and characteristics associated with specific genders.
"If I am passionate about my politics and I am aggressive about it, people say that I am behaving like a man. Why is it that men consider only they have a birth right on aggression?" Sharma asked.
The travelling literary festival which is being held at two locations - Jim's Jungle Treat in Jim Corbett National Park and Te Aroha in Dhanachuli village- will come to a close tomorrow.
